All the Syrians who sat in comfort in the West and chanted for sanctions to collectively punish the Syrian people, starve them, strangle them, deprive them of dignity, hope and the basic human rights – should go back to Syria and live in the hell they helped to create. All the Syrians who wrote books and articles lying about the Syria they destroyed should go back to Syria and live under the Al Qaeda regime they brought to power. All the Syrians who criminalised their own people for their own gain should go back to Syria and live among the drugged-up fanatics that they supported as “moderate rebels”. All those cheering for Jolani grovelling at the feet of Trump, Israel and the World Bank should go live in Syria when it is plundered of every last crumb of history, heritage and culture and flung into a quagmire of debt and enslavement, carved up and dissected, without sovereignty or nobility – this is what you wished for and enabled.
