Imperialists, especially Israel and Washington, accelerated their genocide of Palestinians since October 7, 2023, the date of the military-intelligence orchestrated false flag operation that provided the necessary pretext. (1)
They destroyed hospitals, denied medical aid,(2) destroyed water and sewage treatment, committed ecocide(3) denied food, destroyed and denied shelter, mass-murdered children and so on.
The destruction of water and sewage treatment and ensuing diseases likely killed multitudes, we may never know how many.
We do know that sanctions killed about 600,000 children under five in Iraq largely due to disease etc. from destroyed infrastructure. All of it was intentional. (4)The genocide in Palestine is of course intentional as well.
Throughout the accelerated genocide, Washington supplied the billions and the bombs to sustain and perpetrate the carnage. According to The Cost of War Project at Brown University,
“the total US military support to Israel over the past two years has cost US taxpayers over $30 billion. Israel has received over $21 billion in military aid from the US and Washington has bombed Iran and Yemen for Tel Aviv.” (5)
The next chapter in the genocide is about to unfold, where colonial masters and their supporters will govern the remaining entity that was Palestine. Manlio Dinucci explains that
“Gaza will be governed by a technocratic and apolitical Palestinian committee responsible for the day-to-day management of public services. This committee will comprise qualified Palestinians and international experts, supervised and controlled by a new international transitional body, the Peace Council. This council will be led by President Donald J. Trump, with other members and Heads of State to be announced, including former Prime Minister Tony Blair.” (6)
Dennis and Elizabeth Kucinich refer to this imperial “transitional body” as the Gaza International Transitional Authority.
The main perpetrators of this genocide, Washington and Israel, are capitalizing on Washington’s successful Regime Change in Syria against the elected government of Bashar al-Assad.
Washington’s installation of an unelected al-Qaeda Junta, led by al Nusra Front/al Qaeda in Syria founder al-Jolani, now named al- Sharaa, has predictably weakened the “Axis of Resistance” and enabled the current genocide. Balkanized and sectarian “New Syria” will continue to be a useful asset to Washington as it perpetrates its global warfare against sovereign nation-states.
Many Palestinians will no doubt welcome the peace if it occurs, just as torture victims welcome their release.
Meanwhile, as Trump bathes in the delusion of being a peace-maker, the simmering question remains: Will Justice be served?
The answer seems clear. There will be no justice, and no accountability in this life, for those who have committed these crimes and those who are complicit in these crimes.
